March 23rd 2017 is World Meteorological Day and the theme this year is Understanding Clouds.
UPDATE: The Cloud Photographic Competition Winners:-
Thanks to everyone who took part, and for the work put in by The Royal Meteorological Society in helping judge. We received over 200 entries which made the judging process very interesting! We hope you agree with our subjective view and will include some of the 'Best of The rest' below later today (Please check back later!) Many Thanks - Mark and The StormHour Team
To celebrate World Meteorological Day we are running a special cloud photography competition in conjunction with The Royal Meteorological Society. (RMetS)
This competition will run for one week with RMetS and entries should be submitted on Twitter to @RMetS or @StormHour with the hashtag #CloudHour
The Royal Met Society have kindly offered their World Weather Photographer of the Year calendar as a prize, plus you will get all the high visibility associated with StormHour
And to get you in the mood...here are a couple of clouds photos I've taken myself over the last 12 months 🙂
